Had the opportunity today to livestream a hardware set out of my living room (complete with a cameo from my chihuahua Rico Suave) for Moogfest’s Always On event. Always On is a 50-hour livestream with continuous performances from women & non-binary electronic artists and beatmakers. Presented in partnership with Tom Tom Magazine, the livestream highlights the abundance of women and non-binary artists actively creating and performing electronic music and beats around the world – from a home-studio in South Africa, to the Moog Music Inc. Factory in North Carolina. 50 artists performing across 17 countries and 35 cities.
For my set, I was using the Moog Sub Phatty, Werkstatt, Korg Electribe and Arturia Beat Step Pro.
Check out the archived video of the performance here: https://www.facebook.com/DJPlayPlay/videos/1641689482559786/
Available on iTunes, Spotify, and Tidal as well 🙂
Just flipped a classic by The Hypnotist – enjoy!!
This month I’ve reduced my DJ gigs to concentrate on performing live with synths (Moog Mother 32+ Werkstatt) & my Electribe Sampler. So far I’ve just been rocking out in my room but it’s time to take the show on the road. Here’s where you can find me this month.

Had the opportunity to chat with Vancouver-based music blog Dope Haus during Moogfest this year about gender dynamics, Party Illegal, teaching people about the impact of LGBTQ+ folks on dance music, and more. Check it out!
Tune in tonight at 7:30 EST for my new show on Transit.FM, biweekly on Wednesdays from 7:30-9pm EST. Super excited to be added to the already-stacked roster, & plan on playing a variety of bass music, footwork, jungle, & more. Also I’ll be streaming out of the UNC beatmaking lab so hopefully I will have a video rig set up soon to make it more of a live experience :)))
Here’s where I’ll be this year at Moogfest:
Thursday Moogfest Workshop: DJ 101 for Women & Gender Non-Conformers
This workshop, specifically for women and genderqueer community members, will teach the basics of DJing. Attendees will learn about turntablism, beatmatching, set composition, and the art of reading a crowd. This will be a hands-on workshop, encouraging attendees to hop on turntables and CDJs to mix tracks together.
Friday Moogfest Panel: Grassroots Musical Activism (with Pierce Freelon, Laila Nur, and Dr. Mark Katz)
How can musicians use their artistry to promote important social and political causes? Join this conversation with a group of acclaimed musicians and scholars, and learn how they are working to improve their communities and the world, through music… and discover how you can do the same.
Saturday Daytime DJ set: The Durham Hotel (1-4pm)
Sunday Disco Brunch DJ set: The Durham Hotel
